Evaluation

Our brief was to film a short conversation between to people that demonstrates 180 degree line, shot reverse shot and match on action. Match on action is where two shots match up with each other for example, if theres a shot of someone opening a door, the next shot would be on the handle of the door and the person opening it. Shot reverse shot is where is goes form one shot to another, usually used in conversation. The 180 degree line is an imaginary line which shouldn't be crossed because it will cause the background to change which will confuse the viewer.

For planning we did a risk assessment. We also wrote up a script idea between two people on Celtx and a storyboard to show how the film would look when finished. Location research was done, and some adjustments were done to the location we had, and lastly we did a shot list which involved all the different shots we were going to use in our film.

We did some location research and found a room and set up the camera on a tripod. We then took the camera outside and filmed walking down the corridor using a long shot and then a close up of the door handle and the person walking in which was filmed match on action. Then we took the camera inside and filmed, match on action, the same person walking through the door and sitting down on a chair. We filmed shot reverse shot of the whole conversation and included over the shoulder shots throughout.

We edited the film on Final Cut Express
